Warren man faces 138 sex crime charges
Warren police have charged a Warren man with more than 100 counts of sex crimes involving a minor.
Nolan D.R. Nupp, 23, of Warren was taken to the Warren County Prison on Saturday after being charged with criminal attempt – unlawful contact with a minor – obscene and other sexual materials and performances, a class 3 felony. He is charged with 80 counts of discussing explicit sexual materials with a minor, a class 2 felony; 56 counts of unlawful contact with a minor – open lewdness, a class 3 felony; and criminal use of a communications facility, a class 3 felony.
A criminal court docket lists the offense dates as Friday.
Bail was set at $100,000 on Saturday by Magisterial District Judge Todd Woodin, and Nupp was taken to the Warren County Prison after being unable to post bail. A preliminary hearing will be held Wednesday.
Nupp was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault by vehicle, recklessly endangering another person, failing to stop and render aid, and stalking in 2020. Nupp was allegedly a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a road rage incident that resulted in a man being run over, with Nupp allegedly opening the passenger door of a vehicle, hitting a man and knocking him to the ground before the man was run over by the truck Nupp was riding in.
Nudd was also charged in 2021 by Warren police with two counts of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
