Billing updates announced for Tidioute users
Residents of Tidioute Borough and the Southwest Warren County Municipal Authority are being informed of important updates regarding this month’s utility bills. Due to delays caused by the recent State of Emergency, bills were sent out later than usual. As a result, payment will not be required until the 20th of the month.
Along with the delay, residents will also notice a new format for their postcard bills. Officials assure customers that while the layout may look different, no new charges have been added — only adjustments for accounting clarity.
Key billing updates include:
— All residents have retained their original account numbers, with the addition of a “-0” at the end.
— The infrastructure upgrade fee was already included in the previous water base fee. Previously, the total water base fee of $37 was displayed as a single charge. Now, it appears as $27 for the water base fee plus a $10 infrastructure upgrade for transparency in accounting.
— Each bill includes a unique CID number, which is required for residents who wish to create an account on the online portal.
— The water usage displayed on the new bill now includes two additional “00” at the end. This is not an increase in charges, but rather a formatting update — the previous system included these numbers in its calculations but did not display them on the bill.
Officials highlight the new billing system comes with several benefits, including improved tracking and visibility of account details. Residents who have questions about the new bill format or need assistance creating an online account are encouraged to call the office at 1-814-484-7424.
