City couple charged with felony contraband
A New York resident faces charges after allegedly bringing her husband contraband material in the Warren County Prison.
Juanita Sue Krall, 50, of Lakewood, N.Y., and Joseph A. Krall, 42, were both charged on Feb. 21 by Warren City Police after the Warren County Prison requested an officer to report to the facility for controlled substances.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Joseph Krall, an inmate at the Warren County Prison, received a novelty card with four dissolvable suboxone strips on Feb. 2. The card was sent to the Warren County Prison with a return address containing a fictitious name of “Juanita Wilcox” and a fake address.
The prison forwarded recorded phone calls to the Warren police officers, who reviewed the conversations between the Kralls.
“The conversation indicates the intentional delivery and concealment of a controlled substance,” the affidavit states.
Juanita Krall has been charged with a second-degree felony for contraband/controlled substances in a prison and a felony charge for delivery of the controlled substance. Joseph Krall was charged with a second-degree felony for contraband/controlled substances in a prison. He remains in the Warren County Prison for previous charges after pleading guilty to former convict not to own a firearm. He was sentenced to 12 to 24 months in the Warren County Prison in January.
