Madison Connolly of Sheffield Middle Senior High School has been nominated for the C.L.A.S.S. Act Emerging Leader Award through IU5.

Madison maintains a 3.7 GPA, excelling in AP and Honors courses while balancing a variety of leadership roles that include serving as Student Council president.

“Madison is a true leader who leads by example,” said Sheffield Middle High School officials. “She is not only an excellent student, but she is also deeply committed to making our school a better place for everyone.”

Madison is also an active member of the National Honor Society, S.A.D.D., Varsity Club, and Academic Bowl. Additionally, she serves on the Advisory Council for the Warren County School District K-12 School Guidance Plan, contributing valuable input to help improve student experiences across the district.

In addition to her academic and leadership roles, Madison serves as team captain for both the volleyball and cheerleading teams. She also mentors younger students at youth camps for volleyball and cheerleading, helping to instill confidence and skills in the next generation of student-athletes.

“She is the kind of person who lifts others up,” school officials said in a news release. “Her dedication to her team, her school, and her community is unmatched.”

Madison’s impact extends into the community, where she has dedicated countless hours to volunteering at the Sheffield Food Pantry, The Salvation Army, and the Knights of Columbus fish fry. She also assists families through babysitting and dog sitting.

Despite her packed schedule, Madison also manages to balance a part-time job at Docksiders Café.

“She is one of the most driven and compassionate young people I’ve ever met,” said a Sheffield Middle High School official. “Madison truly embodies the values of respect, responsibility, and service.”

Madison plans to pursue a career in the medical field.
