Tidioute boil water notice lifted
The Southwest Warren County Municipal Authority has officially lifted the boil water advisory in Tidioute and Limestone.
Residents in the Tidioute area can now safely use their tap water for drinking, cooking, and other household needs without boiling it first. According to the authority, the issue has been fully resolved, and bacteriological testing has confirmed that the water supply is safe for consumption. The advisory was initially put in place as a precautionary measure to ensure public health and safety.
“We are pleased to report that the problem has been corrected, and it is no longer necessary to boil your water,” SWCMA stated in an official notice.
Tidioute Borough Manager Amanda Mesel told the Times Observer on Monday that all leaks had been repaired but emphasized that the boil water notice remains in effect as required testing is conducted. The borough confirmed that numerous line breaks were discovered throughout the community and have since been repaired.
