Former pastor returns to First Methodist Church Saturday

First Methodist Church of Warren will welcome back the Rev. Kevin Haley on Sunday.

Haley, a longtime pastor with over four decades of ministry experience, will deliver sermons at the 8 and 10 a.m. worship services. Haley, a native of Mercer, Pa., earned his bachelor’s degree in communication arts with an emphasis on speech and theater from Grove City College. After graduating, Haley married his college sweetheart, Amy, and pursued theological studies at the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Over 42 years of pastoral service, he has led congregations in various locations, including Beavercreek (Ohio), Wilkinsburg, Dunlo, Mineral Point, New Stanton, North Huntingdon, Warren, Clarion, and Greensburg.

Beyond his pastoral duties, Haley has been deeply involved in mission work and community service. His efforts include missionary work in Jamaica, where he helped build homes and supported orphanages. Closer to home, he has contributed to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Rotary International, and local ministers. Additionally, his commitment to Christian camping has seen him serve as a horse camp counselor for 12 years, a creative arts camp dean for 18 years, and a board member for Wesley Woods and Camp Allegheny.

After retiring in February 2025, Haley transferred his credentials to serve in the Global Methodist Church. He and his wife, Amy, have since relocated to Washington, Pa.
