The Warren County School District Gifted Support Program has successfully met the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s compliance monitoring requirements. This achievement reflects the program’s dedication to providing high-quality education and support for students. Superintendent Gary Weber received an official letter highlighting this accomplishment, which will be shared with the school board in recognition of the team’s hard work.
As the program continues to thrive, students were preparing for an enrichment field trip to the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History in Pittsburgh. This opportunity is made possible through funding from the Community Foundation of Warren County, with generous support from the Romaine-Barrett Fund.
Adding a personal touch to the experience, Gifted Support students played an active role in designing a custom t-shirt logo for the trip. Their design creatively incorporates the Romaine-Barrett Fund logo, celebrating the connection between the students and their benefactors. Each student will receive a t-shirt featuring their collaborative design, which they will proudly wear during the trip.
“We are thrilled to provide our students with this incredible learning experience,” said program representatives. “Thanks to the generous support of the Community Foundation and benefactor funding, we can offer hands-on enrichment opportunities that inspire curiosity and creativity.”
The Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History are renowned for their world-class exhibits, offering students a chance to explore history, science, and the arts in an engaging and interactive setting. The trip promises to be both educational and inspiring, further enhancing the Gifted Support Program’s mission to provide meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom.
With state compliance successfully met and exciting opportunities ahead, WCSD’s Gifted Support Program continues to pave the way for excellence.
