EmergyCare gala in Erie to benefit local EMS coverage
One of the region’s EMS providers is planning a gala fundraiser to be held Friday in Erie.
EmergyCare’s ninth annual Garage Gala: A Tropical Escape will be held Friday at the EmergyCare ambulance garage at 19th and Sassafras streets, Erie, with fun, food, and entertainment to support the organization’s mission to provide EMS services in the community.
The Garage Gala has become one of EmergyCare’s signature fundraising events, drawing attendees from across the region. This year’s theme, A Tropical Escape, will transform the venue into an island getaway. There will be several food vendors, drinks and music and other entertainment, including a performance by fire dancer and hula hoop artist Kayla Innes.
EmergyCare relies on events like the Garage Gala to help fund its EMS services. Sponsors include Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and AHN Saint Vincent, along with additional supporters.
“We’re excited to welcome our community back to the Garage Gala for another incredible evening of food, fun, and philanthropy,” said Anna-Marie Labowski, Fundraising Events Coordinator at EmergyCare. “This year’s tropical theme will provide a refreshing escape for our guests, and we’re grateful for the support that helps us continue our life-saving work.”
Money raised will directly benefit EmergyCare, which serves eight counties and 300,000 residents with emergency and non-emergency medical transportation, critical care services, and community education programs. As one of Pennsylvania’s largest nonprofit ambulance services, donations and fundraising efforts are crucial in maintaining operations, purchasing life-saving equipment, and providing top-quality emergency response.
“The event is held in Erie, but we have a station in North Warren and are the primary EMS provider for that area, so the event will benefit the people in your community. ” Labowski said
