Rouse has been selected as a 2024 winner of the Communities That Shine Award, a national honor presented by LifeLoop to senior living communities across the country using technology to enhance the lives of residents, families and staff.

The award was formally presented during a celebratory event at Rouse, that included remarks from organizational leadership, staff, and members of the local community. Representatives from LifeLoop were also on hand to deliver the official recognition.

The Communities That Shine Award highlights innovation, connection and compassion within senior living environments. Rouse’s selection speaks to its ongoing commitment to using technology not just as a tool, but as a bridge to improve care, foster relationships and enrich daily life for all who live and work on its senior living campus.

“This award recognizes our ongoing partnership with LifeLoop and our commitment to leveraging technology to improve care, connection, and community,” said Reyd Martin, Rouse core services director. “We are proud to be part of a movement driving innovation and compassion in senior care.”

The event drew support from across the community, including Rouse board members, county commissioners, and administrators, all of whom celebrated the organization’s dedication to forward-thinking care.

Rouse CEO Susan Teconocuk reflected on the significance of the honor.

“This recognition truly reflects the heart of who we are–an organization deeply committed to creating vibrant, connected, and meaningful experiences for our team, residents, and families,” she said.

LifeLoop, the company behind the award, partners with senior living communities to provide digital tools that support scheduling, communication, maintenance tracking, and more–all from a single, user-friendly platform.

“With five constantly active and ever-changing activity calendars, a busy transportation schedule, ongoing estate maintenance needs, and a team that’s always on the move, we are juggling a lot,” Teconocuk explained. “LifeLoop has brought all of these moving pieces into one easy-to-use platform. Now everything from activities to transportation–even estate-wide maintenance requests–can be managed all in one place.”

The integration of LifeLoop technology has not only improved operations but also made daily tasks more efficient for staff.

“We used to take attendance on paper. We didn’t have internet access to look things up,” Martin added. “Now, thanks to LifeLoop, everything is streamlined, and we’re more efficient in how we care for and engage with our residents.”
