Torchlight Campaign reaches $725K goal

The United Fund of Warren County’s 100th anniversary is officially off to a good start.

The organization said this week that it has completed its 2024 Torchlight Campaign by reaching its $725,000 goal.

Executive Director Lacey Hanson, first-year campaign co-chair Savannah Casey, and second-year campaign co-chair Tiger, the therapy dog from the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center, gathered this week in front of the campaign thermometer to officially close the campaign.

“This community continues to amaze me with its generosity,” Hanson said. “Every year, our donors and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure we meet our goal, and I am so appreciative of every single person who plays a part. Together, we are making an impact on the lives of so many across Warren County.”

Support came from a wide variety of sources, including a growing number of small businesses and individual donors.

Among the organizations supported by the United Fund of Warren County are the Children’s Advocacy Center, A Safe Place, Experience Inc., American Red Cross, Barber National Institute: Bollinger Campus, Boy Scouts of America, Caring for Life, Don Mills Achievement Center, Family Services of Warren County, Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania, Hospice of Warren County, Jefferson DeFrees Family Center, New Hope Assistance Dogs Inc, Ruth M. Smith Center, Sheffield Area Hospitality Center, The Salvation Army, USO, Warren County 4-H Program, Women’s Care Center and the YMCA.

“Funding from the United Fund is absolutely crucial to our ability to serve children and families in Warren County,” said Melissa McLean, Children’s Advocacy Center director. . It allows us to keep doing the work that’s so needed in our community, and we are deeply grateful for that support.”
