Two men facing felony charges waive arraignment

A Warren man facing 20 felony charges spanning six criminal dockets waived his appearance at arraignment last week.

Wesley Crispin is one of two men accused of a series of camp break-ins who was scheduled to be arraigned by Judge Maureen Skerda Thursday in the Court of Common Pleas. Crispin waived his arraignment. He is scheduled for a settlement conference and a calendar call in June.

Crispin, meanwhile, has been charged with An alleged Nov. 12 burglary that resulted in charges of burglary, a class 1 felony; criminal trespass, a class 2 felony, criminal trespassing, a class 3 felony; theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief and receiving stolen property. A second Nov. 12 burglary resulted in charges of burglary, a class 1 felony; two counts of criminal trespass, both class 3 felonies, conspiracy to commit burglary, receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, a class 3 felony; theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief. A third burglary that allegedly took place Nov. 12 resulted in charges of burglary, a class 1 felony; criminal trespass, a class 2 felony; theft by unlawful taking, a class 2 felony; receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at night time and criminal mischief – graffiti. Crispin was charged in a fourth Nov. 12 burglary with burglary, criminal trespass, a class 2 felony, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at night time and criminal mischief. A fifth Nov. 12 burglary resulted in charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at night time and criminal mischief. Crispin was also charged in a sixth burglary that allegedly took place Nov. 15. Those charges are burglary, a class 1 felony; conspiracy to commit burglary, a class 1 felony; criminal trespassing, a class 3 felony, receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief for a burglary that allegedly took place Nov. 15.

The newest charges of first-degree felony burglary – overnight accommodation, no person present; third-degree felony criminal trespassing – entering a structure; second-degree felony theft by unlawful taking – movable property; second-degree felony receiving stolen property, possessing an instrument of crime with intent and loitering and prowling at night time were filed in late March for a burglary in Pleasant Township on June 1, 2024.

Also waiving his appearance at arraignment Thursday was Tyler T. Dalton, a Jamestown man who is one of two Jamestown men accused of breaking into the Tall Tales Sporting Goods store in Pine Grove in mid December. Dalton faces charges of felony second-degree burglary, third-degree felony retail theft, second-degree felony criminal trespass, third-degree felony criminal mischief, and second-degree felony theft by unlawful taking

Dalton also faces charges in New York state of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (possession of an assault weapon), two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (high capacity magazines), two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon(defaced), one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for having a quantity of methamphetamine on his person.
