The Warren County School District will host its annual kindergarten roundup sessions throughout the month of May, giving parents and incoming kindergarten students an opportunity to meet staff, tour their school and prepare for the upcoming 2025-26 school year.
Each elementary school in the district will hold a dedicated session where families can learn more about the kindergarten experience, ask questions, and receive in-person assistance with the registration process.
“Parents can go to the school, meet the staff, and connect with related service providers, like the nurse,” said Lynn Schultz, WCSD’s Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, during Monday’s CIT Committee meeting. “They’ll also have the chance to meet our OT/PT staff, transportation team, nutrition services, and others. It’s really a full introduction to the school environment.”
The Kindergarten Roundup sessions will run from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at each location: Sheffield Elementary – Monday, May 5, Eisenhower Elementary – Monday, May 12, Youngsville Elementary – Monday, May 20, Warren Area Elementary – Tuesday, May 27.
Parents are encouraged to bring their child’s immunization records to provide directly to the school nurse during the session.
Kindergarten registration is now available online through the WCSD website. Parents should select the “New Student Registration for 2025-2026” option to begin the process.
To be eligible, children must be five years old on or before July 1, 2025. Families will need to submit the following documentation: A state-issued birth certificate, Proof of residency (such as a utility bill, tax bill, or mortgage statement) The child’s immunization records.
