Ronald Dunbar
Ronald James Dunbar, 74, of Russell, PA, died unexpectedly Monday, June 5, 2017 at home.
Born in Butler, PA on September 26, 1942, he was the son of the late James and Victoria (Fry) Dunbar. He was married to Sandra (Weyman) Dunbar for the past 52 years who survives him. Ronald retired from Warren County School District in 1996, having taught school at Eisenhower High School for 32 years and also serving as a Football and Basketball coach.
He served on the Board of Director’s of WACOPSE Credit Union for many years, was a member of Lander United Methodist Church, an avid hunter, enjoyed time on his boat and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Renee (Larry) Nicolazzo of Meadville, PA; a son, Scott (Cindy) Dunbar of Lockport, NY; a sister, Deborah Clark of Baltimore, MD; 3 grandchildren, Michael Nicolazzo of Pittsburgh, PA, Kelsey Dunbar and Hailee Dunbar of Lockport, NY; and a niece, Tracey Clark of Baltimore, MD.
Friends will be received Thursday from 24 & 68 pm at the Sugar Grove Branch of McKinney Funeral Homes and also on Friday from 10 11 am at the Lander United Methodist Church where a funeral and committal service will follow at 11 am on Friday, June 9, 2017. The family suggests those wishing to place a memorial contribution may do so to Lander United Methodist Church.
