David Kifer
David E. Kifer, 73, of Kinzua Road, Warren, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Warren General Hospital.
David was born September 30, 1944 in Warren, PA the son of the late R. Glenn and Margaret Isabell (Stroup) Kifer. A lifelong resident, David was employed at the Warren State Hospital as an Activities Aide and Occupational Therapist for thirty years, from which he retired. David was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Grace Choir. He also played the organ at the Mineral Well Restaurant for many years, and at various other locations in the Warren Jamestown area. He was also a former member of the Barbershoppers.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Fifer) Kifer, whom he married in 1971 in Union City, PA; one daughter, Michelle A. Connacher of Sheffield, PA; and one son; Michael D. Kifer of Warren, PA; a grandson, Patrick Connacher, currently serving in the U.S. Navy; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Strandburg Joyce.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Monday, November 27, from 47 pm, and for one hour prior a funeral service to be held at the Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Penn. Ave., E., Warren, PA, at 11 am on Tuesday, November 28, with Rev. Thomas Strandburg, and Rev. Allan Brooks, officiating.
Burial will be in Sheffield Cemetery.
