Lois Johnson

Lois Johnson, 86, of Warren passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at the Kinzua Rehabilitation Center.

Lois was born on September 7, 1932, to the late Charles and Laura (Pond) Gadsby.

Lois was employed with Sylvania Lighting Co. and the Warren State Hospital. She also worked for Blair (New Process) as a nighttime receptionist for 26 years. Lois volunteered at the Chandlers Valley United Methodist Church and participated in a number of Bible studies over the years. Lois enjoyed working outdoors, specifically, mowing and tending to her gardens. She adored horses and was a skilled rider. Lois had a giving heart and treated everyone with kindness. She was generous and selfless, constantly finding new ways to give to others. She loved the Lord and dedicated her life to serving others. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly.

Lois is survived by her three children, Dan (Barb) Johnson, Donald Johnson and Dawn Marie (Ken) Salsgiver; her five grandchildren, Jennifer Cain, Emily Boespflug, Danielle Salsgiver, Frank Salsgiver , and Cole Johnson; her four great-grandchildren, Lee Cain, Maliya Cain , Talyn Cain and Zoe Boespflug; her lifetime friend, Kay Shepardson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Johnson; her siblings, Ronald Gadsby, MaryJane Silvis, Lucille Jenkins, Geraldine Shorts, Virginia Daugherty, and Donald Gadsby; and an infant grandson.

Friends will be received from 1011 am, on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365. A funeral service will follow at 11 am, Rev. Rick Hamrick, officiating.

Interment will be at Warren County Memorial Park.
