James “Jim” Johnson
James R. Johnson, “Jim” of Warren, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Rouse Home.
Jim was born on March 24, 1928, in Warren, to the late Ellis and Margaret (Hill) Johnson.
Jim was a 1947 graduate from Warren High School. He held various jobs at Deluxe Metal and retired after 44 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He shared his love for the outdoors with his family. Whether he was making them their own muzzleloader or teaching them to fish and hunt, he left a lasting impression on their hearts. Jim was a member of the NRA, The Upper Allegany Muzzle Loaders and the First United Methodist Church. Jim was a dedicated family man and will be missed dearly by them.
He is survived by his sister Carol Crocker; his grandchildren, Heather (Dave) Kaufman and James (Danniele) Turner; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by his wife, Isabel (Heeter) Johnson, whom he married on September 10, 1955, at First United Methodist Church; his daughter, Mollyanne Turner and son-in-law, Douglas Turner; his brother, Howard E. Johnson; and his sister, Barbara Jerman.
Friends will be received from 47 pm on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 1, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church, 200 Market St, Warren, PA 16365.
Burial will take place at Sheffield Cemetery.
