Douglas McLachlan, Jr.

Douglas L. “JR” McLachlan, Jr., 41, of Hayes, Virginia, formerly of Clarendon, PA, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at the Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, in Gloucester, VA.

Doug was born March 15, 1978, in Guam, to Douglas McLachlan Sr. and Debra (Lyon), who survive. Doug was in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a fuel information manager, in the 31st Logistic Readiness Squadron, in Italy, before relocating to Virginia, before his retirement. He enjoyed traveling with his family and spending time with his five-year-old grandson.

Doug is survived by his wife, Misty McLachlan, of Gloucester, VA; his 3 children, Courtney, of VA, Chloe, of WA, and Brandon, of TX; 3 stepchildren; 1 grandson, Richard Rivas Jr.; his father, Douglas McLachlan Sr. (Patty); his mother, Debra (Larry Douglas); his siblings, Michael (Terra) McLachlan and Gina (Jason) Feasby; his grandfather, Ford Barber; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and several nieces and nephews.

Doug is preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara Barber; grandparents, Glenn and Joan McLachlan; and one aunt and one uncle.

A memorial service with Military Honors will be held on March 15, 2020, at the Clarendon VFW Post #314.
