Martin J. Sisk Jr.
Martin J. Sisk Jr., 93, of Russell, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 30, 2021, following a brief illness.
Martin was born Oct. 28, 1927, in Russell, Pa., the son of the late Martin J. and Lillian Akers Sisk.
Martin was a 1947 graduate of the Warren High School, and served in the U.S. Army, 112th Infantry, stationed in Germany, during the Korean War, served in the U.S. Air Force, and the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was employed for many years with Asphlund Tree Service, and later as a mechanic for the Borough of Warren, from which he retired.
Martin was a private pi-lot and loved flying, he also loved to hunt, fish, play cards, and enjoy his family and friends.
Martin is survived by his wife, Helen K. Fitch Sisk, whom he married on Jan 3, 1953; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Sisk; and an infant sister.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave East, Warren, PA 16365 on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 2-4 pm.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, Pa., and announced at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to local veterans through the Warren County VA.
