Lois Owen

Lois Owen, 59, of Warren, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2021.

Born on Feb. 13, 1962, in Warren. She was the daughter of late Burton and Delores Johnson. She graduated from Warren Area High School in 1980. She earned her degree as a registered nurse from James-town Community College in 2009.

Lois loved being a mom to her four daughters. She devoted her life to raising her girls to be the best that they could be. In the past two years, Lois assumed the title of Nana to her grandsons: Myles and Dimitri. If there is anything Lois enjoyed more than spending time with her daughters, it was spoiling her grandsons.

Lois was an avid thrifter, she enjoyed searching for good finds at the Good Will and the “50 cent store.” She loved kayaking with Randy, playing bingo at the Eagles club, and cuddling with her dog, Babe. Lois enjoyed walking, biking, and exercising with her friends and family. She absolutely loved the beach and to travel across the world with Randy and her daughters. Lois was a fan of mystery books and carried a book to read wherever she went.

Lois worked as a registered nurse at Warren State Hospital for 25 years. Her care for the patients at the State Hospital will be greatly remembered.

Lois is survived by her children: Emmy (Vincent) Johnson of Bedford, Pa., Erin (Chris) Johnson of Reston, Va., Svea Owen of New York City, N,Y,, Izzy (Coll) Owen of Rockville, Md., Ryan (Julie) Wilson of Warren, Pa., and Andrea (Joe) Heller of Coudersport, Pa. Her grandchildren: Myles Johnson, Dimitri Watkins, Grayce, Reed, and Cael Wilson and Alex and Emi Heller. Her loving significant other, Randy Wilson of Scandia, Pa.

Her siblings: Diane (Ray) Kolasa of Strasburg, Ohio, Earnest (Paula) John-son of Russell, Pa., and Ju-lie Johnson of Fort Lauder-dale, Fla.l and many nieces and nephews who she loved as her own children.

Lois was preceded in death by her father, Burton Johnson; mother, Delores Johnson; stepmother, Mildred Johnson; and brother, James Johnson.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St., Warren, Pa., on Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 6-8p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1p.m., on Friday, July 16, 2021, at the funeral home with the Rev. Nancy Schwanke, chaplain of Warren State Hospital, officiating. Inter-ment will be in Warren County Memorial Park. Following interment, a celebration of life will be held at the Clarendon Veterans of Foreign Wars.
