Earl C. Price

Earl C. Price, 96, of Barnes, Sheffield, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, Oct. 12, 2022, at the Bradford Manor, Bradford, Pennsylvania. Earl was born in Jamestown, New York on Jan. 3, 1926, the son of Trace P. Price and Edith (Chapin) Price. While in school, Earl was drafted into the United States Army and served his country from 1944-1945, earning the rank of Corporal. He gained employment with Niagara Mohawk as a lineman until his retirement. He was a member of the Barnes United Methodist Church as well as the NRA and Sheffield Rod & Gun Club. Earl enjoyed several hobbies: bowling, stained glass, jewelry making, hunting, and fishing, boating, wood working and liked reading a good book of Louis L’Amour.

Left behind to cherish Earl’s memory are his wife, Carol Price, whom he married on March 4, 1982 in Barnes; his son and daughters; Ernest (Heidi) Price, Amanda Price, Wendy (Earl) Belcher, Laurie Rafle (John dec.), Tammie (Kevin) McCauley as well as several grandchildren: Ryan Price (Rebecca Torres), Joshua Price (Karen Cureton), Jacob Belcher (Shannon), Jessica Hicks (Nate) Jacquelyn Vaja (Brad), Caroline McCullough (Ryan) Hannah Rafle, Ian McCauley (Jennifer), Aaron McCauley (Jackie), Benjamin McCauley (Ashley), Peter McCauley (Elizabeth), Moriah McCauley, and 23 great grandchildren as well as his faithful dog (Ricky).

Earl’s family will welcome family and friends on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Douglas Brink, Pastor of Barnes United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Jamestown, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to the Sheffield Rod & Gun Club or an animal shelter of your choice.
