Nancy S. Parker, 89, of Warren, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, at the Warren Manor.
Nancy was born March 8, 1933, in Warren, Pa., the daughter of the late Ralph Sturdevant and Florence Hedges Sturdevant.
Nancy was a 1951 graduate of Warren High School. She married Claude A. Parker on Jan. 31, 1953, who preceded her in death on July 24, 2014.
She was employed at Blair and the Jean Carol Hat Shop, until becoming a homemaker and raising her children.
She was a faithful member of the First Lutheran Church of Warren, where she also served as a Sunday school teacher. Nancy was also a member of the Salvation Army Kitchen Band. She loved music, especially the accordion, piano and organ. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking. Above all else, she loved her family and many friends.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Gayle Neidig, and husband, Nathan, of Milledgeville, Ga.; brother, James “Booney” Sturdevant, and wife, Virginia, of Warren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Parker on Feb. 28, 2012.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m., and on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave., Warren, for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, Pa..
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Warren Library Association, 205 Market St., Warren, PA 16365, or a book donated in Nancy’s name.
