John L. Morley Jr.

John L. Morley Jr.
John L. Morley Jr., age 65, of Millcreek, passed away unexpectedly February 12, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in Buffalo, NY to his beloved mother, Peggy LIttlefield and John L. Morley, Sr.
John graduated from Warren HIgh School where he excelled in football (87), track, and javelin. He then went on to his beloved Penn State where he focused on engineering and architecture. He was employed by Petrex of Warren and then transferred to their division in Houston, TX., where he worked for many years. He also worked for Aluminum Refinishing for many years. He then embarked on his own journey to create, design, and build the most amazing home remodels, with a specialty in kitchen and bathroom renovations. John was a master craftsman in all trades and was well respected for his work. He loved a challenge and never turned down the opportunity to fix or build the impossible. Along his journey, he mentored many others, sharing his knowledge and skills to help others succeed in the many trades he had mastered.
John was a very selfless, caring, loving, and patient man. He truly exemplified these attributes that his beloved mom instilled in him. John, at the age of 64, when most are looking forward to retirement, took on the most challenging but most rewarding opportunity of his life. Without hesitation, he took on the role of full time Papa/Dad to his grandsons. When others walked away, he gladly stepped in and fulfilled that role and more. There will never be another like John.
John lived a very adventurous and fulfilling life. He was proud to have visited 48 of 50 states. He had a passion for skiing the most challenging slopes in Utah (once riding in a prop plane to Utah with the bands Cheap Trick and The Osmond Brothers). He loved to hunt big game in the US and Canada, and, of course, loved traveling to challenge himself on the best golf courses. He never missed an opportunity to root for his beloved Penn State and Miami Dolphins. Of course, once he met Monica, he was forced to root for the Cleveland Browns. He served as Vice President of Polish Sharpshooters for many years where he was very active in the clubs progression. He also was a member of The Polish Foresters Club and The Moniuszko Singing Society.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Betty (Babcie) Kleiner who preceded him in death just one day prior, and a very special Aunt, Shirley Cable.
He is survived by his life partner, Monica Firster, grandsons Jeremy, Sylus, and Jr, whom he loved and cherished greatly, and Megan Firster, Loving siblings, Jerry (Jill) Morley, Joni Bunk, Jay (Lori) Morley, Jayne (Chris) Camp, and Jen Morley. Uncles Russell Morley (Lynda), Richard Morley (Janet), several special nieces, nephews, great nieces, a newly born great nephew, special cousins, and a very special Godchild, Alex Morley.
He is further survived by his loving in laws, Lisa Flick, Paul Kleiner, Matt (“Scooby”) Kleiner (Diane), and very special friends, Sherry, Judy and Darin, Bob and Korie, Bob M, and David S.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at a later date.
