Robert A. “Bob” Schultz
Robert A. “Bob” Schultz, 84, of Busti, passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023 in UPMC Chautauqua.
He was born Oct. 18, 1938 in Niagara Falls, NY to Gerhard and Sophia Millville Schultz.
He graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1956 and from New York State Ranger School in Wanakena, NY in 1959.
Bob married Judith Wilson on October 24, 1959.
He was a charter member of Busti Historical Society where he was instrumental in the restoration of the Busti Grist Mill and the Victorian Miller’s house and a member of Busti Federated Church.
Bob owned and operated the Busti Greenhouses for several years, was a forest technician with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, a building contractor, and most recently owner and operator, with his wife, of the Busti Cider Mill & Farm Market.
Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years Judith; sons Carl (Ann) Schultz and John (Jackie) Schultz; seven grandchildren: Mark (Dawn) Schultz, Andy Schultz, Bradley Schultz, Charles Schultz, Melissa Schultz, Amanda Zeiders, and Tyrel Zeiders; six great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers David Schultz of Huntsville, AL and Peter (Joanne) Schultz of Rochester, NY, as well as a brother-in- law Lee Ruk of North Tonawanda, NY; several nieces and nephews; and a special friendship with Norman Carlson, Lyle Ostrander, and Dennis Johnson, as well as the breakfast groups.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Miriam Schultz and Linda Ruk, sister- in- law Grace Schultz, and an infant grandson.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 11, 2023 in the Busti Federated Church. Retired Pastor Lee O’Brien will officiate.
Friends will be received from 10 am to noon (two hours prior to the service) on Saturday in the church.
