Mary Ann DeVore

Mary Ann DeVore, 76, of Youngsville, passed away Saturday June 10, 2023 at the Rouse Warren Co. Home.

She was born March 8, 1947 in Warren to the late Theodore and Annie (Lyszaz) Yucha. Mary Ann, affectionally known as “Chook” by close family members, worked as a bank teller at the various banks in Youngsville over the years, and also in the Youngsville High School cafeteria. She was a devote catholic and was a very active member of St. Lukes Roman Catholic Church in Youngsville. Every year during the Warren Co. Fair, Mary Ann could be seen working at the church booth. She loved to landscape and garden her house on Yucha Drive, but her biggest joy was her grandchildren, and the time spent loving and supporting them throughout their lives.

She is survived by her children, Scott (Debra) DeVore of North East and Pamela DeVore of Youngsville, her brothers, George (Carolyn) Yucha of Las Vegas, Marty (Barbara) Yucha of Warren, Paul (Kitty) Yucha of Florida and Randy (Terri) Yucha of Virginia Beach, her grandchildren, Stephen, Kirsten, Matthew, Taeler, Ava and Lily, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anson Devore on October 28, 2003.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 North Main St in Youngsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am at St. Lukes R.C. Church in Youngsville with the Fr. Richard Tomasone, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Warren Co. Memorial Park.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the St. Lukes building fund, 420 North Main St. Youngsville, Pa. 16371. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.nelsonfuneralhome.net.
