Richard S. Thomas

Rick was born Dec. 4, 1954, in Erie, PA, the son of the late Carl Thomas and Allene Stahlman. Rick was a 1973 graduate of Warren Area High School and was welder at Pennco for a number of years and then became a self-employed contractor and partner in the Still Standing Construction Company, from which he retired. Rick was an avid hunter, a member of the National Hunting Club of America, a lifetime member of the NRA. He loved to play golf and was active in the Fitch Tuesday night league at Cable Hollow Golf Club. Rick enjoyed and loved his many friends and family and especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by many.

He is survived by his friend and companion, Lisa Smith, who was his soul caregiver for the last two years; two children, Brandi Thomas of Jamestown, NY, and Jason Thomas of New Castle, PA; four grandchildren, Leah Vandermark, Jessa Thomas, Ella Sarro, and Lyn Holmes.

The family will receive friends at the Peterson- Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm, at which time a funeral service will be held with The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, First Lutheran Church of Warren, officiating.
