Cindy Lee Cozad
Cindy Lee Cozad, 66, passed away after an extended illness at the St. Francis Medical Center on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in Monroe, La.
Born on October 12, 1957, in Franklin, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late George R. Cozad and Sandra Lee (Shorts) Cozad-Weber.
Cindy will forever be remembered as a compassionate person who was always willing to help others in need, lend an ear to listen and give advice if asked. Cindy always put others before herself, which was am trait that was passed onto her son Jeffery. She was the sweetest, kindest person who loved everyone, loved animals and especially loved her family. She loved her son Jeffery unconditionally and was extremely proud of him and his accomplishments. She dearly loved her partner in life, Fred Gossm (Monroe, La) and their three cats. She will be remembered as a dear friend by so many and greatly missed.
Cindy is survived by her son, Jeffery Dougherty and his wife, Elsabeth Dougherty of Warren, Pa, Sister Denise Jawdy and her husband Jon of Corry, Pa, Brothers, Steve Cozad, Corry, Pa, Tim Cozad Corry, Pa, Shane Weber and his wife Jenna Weber of Corry, Pa and Gary Cozad of Phoenix Arizona. Cindy was extremely proud of and loved her two grandchildren, Gabriel and Briauna Dougherty of Warren, Pa; they both will miss their Granny greatly. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents and niece, Amanda Cozad.
In keeping with Cindy’s wishes, a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced at a later date.
Griffen Funeral Home, 1911 Warren Dr, West Monroe, La, 71291, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
