Lucille “Lucy” Witherow

Lucy was born on March 26, 1929, in Roulette, PA, a daughter to the late Waid and Elva (Fitzpatrick) Causer. She was a pastor’s wife and held many positions at the former Evangelical United Methodist in Youngsville, including Sunday school teacher, singing in the choir and baking T Rings for the church. She enjoyed baking, sewing, reading, puzzles, gardening and taking walks. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Dorothy (Dale) Linton of Utica, PA, Terry (Kim) Witherow of Largo, FL and Mark (Heather) Witherow of Erie, PA; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Spurgeon Witherow, on March 24, 2013; 2 brothers, Dale and Norman Causer and a sister Jean Coast.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 6-9PM at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St. in Youngsville, PA and for 1 hour prior to a 11AM funeral service that will be held there on Saturday. The Rev. Jeff Canter, pastor of the New Life Church in Youngsville, will officiate. Burial will follow in Warren County Memorial Park.
