Kirsten E. May

She was born January 30, 1973 in Corry, PA, a daughter of Ann (Kaveney) Spelling of Bear Lake, PA, and the late Carl Spelling.

Kirsten was raised and educated in Russell, Pa and graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1991.

She then moved to Pittsburgh where she attended the Pittsburgh Art Institute. Kirsten then moved back to the area where she became a nurse’s aide, working for Kinzua Valley Healthcare and Rehab Center in Warren, PA. She worked there for 33 years. Kirsten enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, camping and four wheeler riding.

In addition to her father, Kirsten was preceded in death by her cousin, Jay Peeso.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Brian May, whom she married July of 1993 in Youngsville, PA; daughter, Aubrey May of Bear Lake, PA; son, Cody May of Bear Lake, PA; sister, Lisa Spelling of North East, PA; brothers, Phil (Barb) Spelling of Ohio, Toby (Dena) Spelling of New Jersey, Eric (Julie) Spelling of Kentucky, Charlie (Okcha) Spelling of Bear Lake, PA, Andrew Spelling of Bear Lake, PA; and by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at Bracken Funeral Home Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry on Tuesday, 5 – 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, W. Washington St, Corry, PA, on Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Tom Whitman officiating.

Burial will be in Bear Lake Cemetery, Bear Lake, PA.
