J. Albert Loranger II

J. Albert Loranger II, 80, of Danville, California, passed away on April 9, 2024. He was born on Dec. 6, 1943, in Salem, Massachusetts to his parents J. Albert Loranger Sr., and Jeannine Dion Loranger. Al was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his daughter, Ariane Dart of Sarasota, FL; his son, J. Albert Loranger III and his wife, Sheila, of Warren; his wife Diane Shelby Loranger of Danville; grandchildren named Lyndsey, Alex, Lilly, and Al IV; his two brothers, George Loranger of Budapest, Hungary, and Robert Loranger of Thousand Oaks, CA; and his stepchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Paul Loranger, and other family members.

Al was a Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War, serving his country with honor and dedication. He was a veteran who exemplified bravery and commitment.

A man of many accomplishments, Al founded Loranger Electronics, a division of Loranger Manufacturing Corporation, in 1968. His work was renowned for innovative designs and manufacturing techniques of Burn-In and Test products for semiconductor chips and components used in both commercial and military applications. In 1983, he acquired the division and established the independent company named Loranger International Corporation (LIC) which continues under the direction of his children, Al and Ariane.

Apart from his successful career, Al was known for his love of family, thirst for knowledge, and passion for innovation. He had a captivating presence, with a hearty laugh that could brighten anyone’s day. His lifelong travels across the Caribbean, Europe and Asia enriched his life and broadened his horizons.

Al’s educational journey included studies at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Grade School, Warren Area High School, and Lehigh University, where he double majored in both Industrial Engineering and Finance.

In his leisure time, Al exhibited his products at Semicon Trade shows worldwide and was a member of various clubs and organizations, including The Family and Blackhawk Country Club in California, and the Conewango Valley Country Club and Conewango Club in Pennsylvania. He actively participated in the Republican party’s political activities serving on the Northwest Caucus and Chaired the Warren County Republican party. Al also served the Warren County community by holding positions on the boards of Marine Bank and Warren General Hospital.

A Memorial Mass in honor of Al Loranger will be held at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Warren County Little League Baseball in his memory.
