Patricia “Pat” Ferver-Russell
Patricia “Pat” Ferver-Russell – The community legend whom all the cats and kids adored, passed peacefully in her home on August 12, 2024 at the young age of 67 after an emotional battle with cancer. Pat was a serendipitous enigma, born June 19, 1957, in Warren, PA to George Wilbur Ferver JR and Thelma Adelaide Kendall-Ferver. Pat was the youngest of 4 siblings; Ruth Seebeck, Dan Ferver and George Ferver Sr.
Pat shared a lifetime enthusiasm for adventure and believing that kindness could truly change the world. Pat was known by the ‘neighborhood kids’ as the wildly fun woman who would play in the dirt and encourage children to climb trees as high as they could just to prove that they were more capable than their fears would have them believe. Pat was a rebellious young woman who wore jeans to school when girls were told to wear skirts and she spent her time outdoors in nature as often as possible. Pat defiantly dropped out of modeling school to work in a predominantly male industry, fighting discrimination and biases to pave a way for women to be able to work where they were not accepted before.
Pat had a brilliant sense of dark humor, a poetically romantic soul, and a strong faith in God. Pat worked as an engineer and loved sharing her knowledge and skills with curious minds. In 2002, Pat met the love of her life, Don Russell, whom she married February 15, 2003. Pat and Don shared many adventures and demonstrated true love through sickness and Health for 21 years. Patricia was an incredible mother of two lovely girls, Heather Maloney and Mandi Jenkins; Grandmother to two rad grandchildren, Abby and Noah Jenkins and was the fun/excentric aunt to several nieces and nephews (we will not disclose the favorite but you know who you are).
“The sun does shine everyday – all you need to do is fly above the clouds. Or, as Sam Gamgee puts it – ‘All’s well as ends well'”- Patti
