David (Dave) Reid Wilson
David (Dave) Reid Wilson, 63, of Youngsville, PA, died Friday, September 6, 2024 at Warren Manor.
Born April 13, 1961, in Warren, he was the son of the late Boyd A, Sr. and Iva C. Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister,Donna S. Salapak, Brother,Anthony Wilson 2 Nephews Chad E. Wilson (Warren) and Glenn B. Bechard.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Boyd A. Wilson, Jr (Bonnie) of Sugar Grove, Robert Wilson (Barb) of Sheffield, Anita J. Gilchrest (Ron) of Ohio, Debrah Davis of Warren, PA. Children are a blessing from God and God gave Dave many children to care for as his own: Daughters: Christine Evans (Mike) of Philadelphia, Victoria Hollis (Harvey) of Irvine, Kasandra Calamunchi (Carmella) of Warren, Timmista Patz (Erin) of N. Carolina; and 1 Son, Timothy McMillen of Warren; Including 3 Nieces and a Nephew he helped to raise; Cathy Kirby (Jerry) of Ohio, Alexa Corbett of Sugar Grove, Rachel Corbett of Warren, and Dakota (Kacie) Wilson of Warren. Dave loved all of his nieces and nephews. He has several Aunts and Uncles and Cousins of the Womeldorf and Wilson family. He also enjoyed visits from his many grandchildren and one great grandson.
As a teenager, Dave ran Track on Eisenhower High School Track Team. He enjoyed making friends and playing pool while rocking out to the Jukebox and spending time with family. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles since 2008. He previously worked in maintenance at the Rat Skeller and the Warren County Court House and over the years made friends at the Blair Outlet where he was employed over 10 years; here he earned the nick name Bones. Some called him Willy short for Wilson. Even after becoming disabled he continued to work outside on his property and spending his days in the sun, where he used his ingenuity to build his pole building/garage. He worked on cars helping his kids, neighbors and friends in need. His neighbor, Sarah Thomas was always there when he needed extra support and still maintains a caregiver relationship with Dave’s loving cat Taz! In his final months Dave was surrounded by the caring individuals at the Warren Manor. He was able to remain as strong and independent as he could until the end of the battle with his declining health. Here he prayed to received Christ as his Lord and Savior. With him he had a friend in Jesus and is now layed to rest with the Spirit in the Sky.
Dave’s Cremains will be buried with his mother at the Barnes Cemetery in Barnes, PA. A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date at the convenience of the family.
