Jay “Speedy” E. Todd
Jay “Speedy” E. Todd, 68, of Warren, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 4, 2024, at his residence.
Speedy was born October 12, 1955, in Sewickley, PA, the son of the late Clair Russell and Mary Margaret (Irvin) Todd. He was a 1973 graduate of Warren Area High School and then received an Associate’s degree from JCC in 1978. He was employed as a machine mechanic from which he retired.
Speedy was a member of Gouldtown Church. He was a member of the Lakewood Legion for 29 years. He was a past Sons of Legion Commander and was most recently Second Vice Commander. He enjoyed baking, cooking, and was constantly working on cars. Speedy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Speedy is survived by loving daughter, Jessica Blystone and husband Josh of Warren; viewed as another loving daughter, Amanda Ringer and husband Stan of Warren; proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Hunter, Taylor, Noah, and Naomi; uncle, Jim Savage of Sewickley, PA; cousins, Charles Todd of Florida, and Carol Clester of Greensburg, PA; nephew, Dan Todd; and dear friend, Sheila Jones.
In addition to his parents, Speedy was preceded in death on December 8, 1994, by his wife, Sherry Ann Christensen Todd; brother, Lewis Todd; and cousin, Jim Todd.
A service for Speedy will be on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 1:00pm at Hale Cemetery, Akeley, PA, with Pastor James Witherington, officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00pm at the Lakewood American Legion, 174 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood, NY, 14750.
