Jacki Marie McLaughlin
Jacki Marie McLaughlin, 45, of Sheffield, PA, and formerly of Leeper, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024.
Jacki was born on September 30, 1979, in Clarion, PA, to Jack McLaughlin (Ellen) of Sheffield, PA, and the late Heidi (Henry “Hank”) Bauer of Leeper, PA. She was a 2001 graduate of North Clarion High School and attended Clarion University.
Jacki was a remarkable woman with a zest for life that was evident to everyone she met. She had an infectious smile that could lift any spirit and an unique sense of humor that kept her family and friends laughing. Jacki’s love of music was unparalleled– she adored all genres and attended countless concerts, often meeting her favorite country music artists. Beyond music, she was an avid sports fan, cheering on her beloved Steelers and Penguins from the stands. She also found enjoyment in getting lost in an adventure of a good book.
Jacki is survived by her father Jack McLaughlin and stepmother Ellen; her stepfather Hank Bauer; her siblings Jessica Moore (Bill) of Buffalo, NY, Derek Bauer (Melissa) of Lucinda, PA, and Morgan Briggs (Brad) of Warren, PA; her beloved nieces and nephews, William and Stella Moore, Mackenna Bauer, and Theo Briggs; her grandmother Judy A. Fitzgerald of Leeper, PA; step-grandmother Linda Smith of Hickory, NC; step-grandmother Anne Holquist of Titusville, PA; and her close friends, Jess Ochs and Angie Fye. She was also blessed with many special caregivers who became part of her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Heidi Bauer; her infant sister, Heather McLaughlin; her grandparents Joseph and Daphne McLaughlin, James A. Smith, and step-grandfather Bill Fitzgerald; and step-grandparents Henry and Alice Bauer.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jacki’s extraordinary life on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Borland-Ensminger Funeral Home, Inc., in Leeper, PA. Internment will be held at St. Mary Cemetery in Crown, PA, at the family’s convenience.
