Marjorie Streich Schumann
Marjorie Streich Schumann, 93, of Warren, PA, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Marjorie was born Sept. 13, 1931, in Painesville, OH, the daughter of the late Frederick and Bernice (Kinkead) Streich. She was a graduate of Warren High School.
Marjorie was a member of the Emanuel United Church of Christ. She had a Sunday School in her home before she taught at the church. She was a Sunday School teacher, member of the Board of Christian Education, Evangelism, Stewardship & Visions Committee, member of the Woman’s Guild, served on the Consistory, was the Glade Township Tax collector for many years, and was the church secretary for 15 years.
Marjorie and her husband, James, owned and operated the Walnut Grove Mobile Home Court for 30 years.
Marjorie is survived by her two children, Mattie A. Maletto and husband Ralph of Johnsonburg, PA, and Herbert Frederick of Youngsville, PA; two grandsons; several great grandchildren; sister, Katherine Johnson of Memphis, TN; Goddaughter, Melanie Murvine; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Schumann, whom she married on Aug. 28, 1952; two sisters, Helen M. Streich and Barbara Streich; a brother, Edwin C. Streich; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Streich and Eva Morrison, Virginia Young, and Phyllis Murvine.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
