Steven “Mark” Samuelson
Steven “Mark” Samuelson, 84, of Warren, PA, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at Kinzua Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Mark was born November 8, 1940, in Warren, the son of the late Everett and Vera (Wineriter) Samuelson. Mark was a 1958 graduate from Warren High School. He was employed as a Tool & Die Maker at Osram Sylvania, which he retired from in 1999.
Mark’s passion was motorcycle racing. Soon after graduation he started a BSA dealership. He raced motorcycles his entire life and started on dirt tracks, and as he got older, he started road racing. Mark and his wife Linda would travel along the east coast to several races and wintered in Florida, where he enjoyed racing at Daytona Speedway. When he wasn’t racing, they enjoyed riding their Harley and sailing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren.
Mark is survived by his wife Linda D. Harmon Samuelson, whom he married on March 24, 1962; two daughters, Laurie Dickson and husband James of Russell, and Lisa Bailey and her companion Rich King of Warren; three grandchildren, Cassie Waseleski, Stevie Samuelson, and Tiara Turner; six great grandchildren; brother, David Samuelson and wife Brenda of Warren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday November 29, 2024, at the Peterson – Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave E. Warren, Pa from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held with the Rev. Bill Beaty, pastor, Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 30105.
Burial will take place in the Oakland Cemetery.
