Trista J. Wilcox

Trista J. Wilcox, 50, of Warren, PA and formerly of Sheffield, PA, and Bradford, PA, passed away of natural causes at her home on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024. She was born in Warren, PA on June 16, 1974, to David Morrison and the late Margo P. (Mulkin) Steffan. Trista was a 1992 graduate of Sheffield High School. She attended Bethany Lutheran Church in Sheffield.

Trista loved cooking and baking for everyone, especially for her family. She loved her fur babies and floating on the water in her kayak and sitting in a chair along the water at Dunkle’s Corners.

Trista dedicated her life to helping others, had a distinguished career in the mental health field starting in 1997. Trista served as a Peer Support Specialist Supervisor for McKean and Potter counties at Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems. She currently was an IDD program specialist at OneWell Healthcare. She had a profound impact across the Northwest PA region, dedicated to improving the lives of those she served.

She was involved in multiple boards and committees, including the Pennsylvania Peer Support Coalition, where she received recognition for her work, Forest Warren Mental Wellness Association, and the McKean and Warren Counties Criminal Justice Advisory Boards. Trista was passionate about facilitating Peer Support within the Criminal Justice System and worked on Mental Health Advanced Directives and WRAP programs. Trista had a wealth of experience from both her professional journey and personal life, which she wholeheartedly dedicated to improving the lives of those around her. Trista will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her including her colleagues and the vast amount of friends she made over the years and especially her family.

Left behind to cherish Trista’s memory are her father, David Morrison, of Cherry Grove, her stepfather, Mike Steffan of Sheffield, her companion, Mark Snow of Warren, a son, Fabian Lichtenberger of Warren, a daughter, Isis Wilcox and her companion Garrett Chamberlain, of Belmont, NY, a brother, Jason Morrison and his wife Tracey, of Sheffield and many nieces and nephews.

Trista’s family will welcome family and friends on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Borden Funeral Home, 203 W. Main St., Sheffield, Pa. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dece. 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 110 Church St., Sheffield, Pa. (Everyone please meet at the church) with Pastor Randall Frenz, presiding. Interment will follow at the Sheffield Cemetery. A luncheon will be provided following the services at the Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department, 318 S. Main St., Sheffield, PA 16347.
