Cheryl Ann Bloom
Cheryl Ann Bloom, 75, of Russell, and previously of Warren, PA, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Warren, PA.
Cheryl was born March 28, 1949, in Warren, the daughter of the late Ralph and Romaine (Johnson) Johnson. She was a 1967 graduate of Warren Area High School. She was employed at New Process right out of high school, then stayed home with children for 10-12 years, and then was the secretary for 8 years at St. Paul Lutheran Church, and then went to Northwest Savings from which she retired in 2011.
Cheryl was a member of Pleasant Community Church. She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader in Russell. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. After retiring, she and Ronald went to Alaska and also enjoyed cruising.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Ronald A. Bloom, whom she married on Oct. 18, 1969; two children, David Bloom, and wife Valerie of Glenside, PA, and Kimberly Sheehan and husband Tom of New Holland, PA; five grandchildren, Shiloh and Bodin Bloom, and Logan, Cody, and Annika Sheehan; brother, Larry Johnson; and two nephews.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by niece, Amy Riberty; and father and mother-in-law, Bernard and Irene Bloom.
Friends will be received at Pleasant Community Church, 673 Pleasant Drive, Warren, PA, on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, from 10 to 11 am, at which time a Memorial Service will be held with Reverend James Swanson II, pastor, officiating.
