Judith Marie “Judi” Wilson

Judith Marie Barnhart Wilson, 85, of Warren, Pa, died on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in her home.

She was born July 23, 1939, in Warren, Pa, the daughter of the late Donald Betts Barnhart and Gladys Banks Barnhart. She married Dennis Allen Wilson on October 13,1960, in St. Callistus Church in Kane, Pa, and he passed on August 30, 2010.

Judi lived in Connecticut while Dennis was in the Navy Submarine Service. She lived in Preston and owned and operated Wilson’s Country Store for six years before retiring to Searsport, Maine, where she had a doll shoppe, Yesterday and Today Doll Shoppe, where she taught porcelain doll making.

Judi belonged to the Mayflower Society as a direct decedent of Capt. Myles Standish. She also belonged to General Joseph Warren Chapter DAR and Kanoagoa Chapter DAC. Judi also belonged to the Allegheny Community Center Board of Directors, Experience Inc. Board of Directors, and the City of Warren Parks & Recreation Commission.

Judi is survived by her family, Shirley Morgan Thompson, godson, Peter Bakkala, sister in law, Carol Still, nephews, Kevin Still, Jeff Still, and their

families. Cousins, Linda K. Wilson, Cheryl A. Wilson, Craig Wilson and wife, Patty, and Amy Hollowell, and several other nieces and nephews, and extended family.

A special thank you to Aseracare Hospice and Sunrise in Home Care Services for all their compassionate care they showed Judi.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am in Holy Redeemer R.C. Church Gathering Space, 11 Russell St., Warren, Pa. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am in the church with the Rev. Mark O’Hern, pastor, officiating. Private burial will be in Gibbs Hill Cemetery, Ludlow, Pa, next to her husband Dennis.
