Marlene L. Johnson
Marlene Lorena Johnson, 71, of S. Main St., Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025 at UPMC Hamot.
Marlene was born on Jan. 28, 1953, in Warren, PA, the daughter of late Lloyd L. and Arlene Gerow Lyon.
Marlene graduated from Eisenhower High School. She worked at Cummins Engine on the assembly line for over twenty years and retired from there.
Marlene was an avid pool player and played in pool leagues throughout the years. She enjoyed karaoke, gambling, thrift shopping and camping. Marlene was a social butterfly and could gab for hours.
She is survived by her children David Lyon and his wife Holly Swanson of Pittsfield, PA; Kellie Berry of Jamestown, N.Y.; Lorena Berry (Gerald Slaughter) of Jamestown, N.Y; and Donovan R. Berry II and his wife Mindy of Warren, PA; Siblings Gary Lyon and his wife Kay of Spring Creek, PA; Debbie Woodin of Warren, PA; and her late husband John, Les Lyon of Sugar Grove, PA, Jeanne Lyon- Potter and her husband Sherwood of Ashville, N.Y., and Rhonda Urbanik and her husband John of Pittsfield, PA; 11 grandchildren Katherine Lyon, Malechi Miller, Jekel Miller, William Berry, Nikolai Smith, Kiara, Zakya, Malaka, Gia and Telana Slaughter and Gianna Berry; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Marlene is preceded in death by her sister: MaryEllen Haslett.
