Darlene J. Wingard

Born on May 9, 1958, in Warren, she was the cherished daughter of Edith “Betty” (Flasher) Turner and the late Earl “Mick” Turner.

Darlene was a 1976 graduate of Warren Area High School and earned her Associate’s degree in Accounting from JBC. She dedicated her career to Loranger’s Manufacturing and later to Zehrco Giancola Composites Inc.

Darlene had a passion for quilting, sewing, and crocheting. Her family fondly remembers her for crafting amusing and creative gifts for every special occasion.

She is survived by her beloved son, Chad A. Turner of Raleigh, NC; two loving brothers, Jeffrey Turner and his wife Dawn of Russell, and Bryan Turner and his wife Mary of Brevard, NC; her dear sister, Faith Gerbec and her husband Donald of Russell; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, James Wingard, whom she married in 2009.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
