Margaret Jones

Margaret (Peggy) Jones (70), of Ormond Beach Florida originally from Warren Pa had a kidney transplant over 20 years ago and died in her sleep on February 17, 2025 following a recent illness.

She loved animals and began her working career as a veterinarian technician in Waren Pa. She moved to Florida where she worked as a ship’s first mate sailing the world on private yachts before returning to Warren to work at Blair corporation. She then retired to Ormond Beach where she continued her love of animals working with the rescue and care of cats and, was a volunteer for the Marineland Right Whale Project.

Peggy was always adventurous as demonstrated by her pulling up and moving to Florida twice with no real plan. She loved to care for the animals, travel with friends, and attend concerts.

She is preceded in death by her father Walter Jones, mother Arlene Jones, and sister Patrice (Patch) Baker. She is survived by a son Christopher Carter, one grand-daughter Raina Hayduk, one brother Mike Jones and his wife Bonnie Jones, their two daughters Lisa Sandell and Danielle Jones-Miglicio, and her sister Patch Baker’s two children Simon Baker and Jill Baker.

Services will be private and held at the discretion of the family.
