Darlene L. Anderson

She was born on December 16, 1949 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Leonard R. and Eleanor Hanson Anderson.

She was a 1968 graduate of Frewsburg Central School and earned her associates degree from Dutchess Community College.

Darlene was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for many years.

Prior to retirement, she was employed at Lutheran Social Services in the dietary department.

Darlene enjoyed gardening, loved animals and cooking, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan attending many games. She looked forward to visiting her nieces and nephews and having dinner with her cousins. Family was very important to her.

Darlene is survived by a sister Marilyn (Randal) Stewart; nieces and nephews: Rachel (Jason) Peters, Jackson Peters, Adessa Peters, Kevin (Melissa) Stewart, Declan Stewart; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Zion Lutheran Church, Frewsburg. Pastor Phillip Roushey will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the church.
