George “Bucky” Wohlers Jr.

George “Bucky” Wohlers Jr., 89, of Starbrick, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, surrounded by family.

He was born in Youngsville, PA on May 8, 1935, a son to the late George and Rose (Thomas) Wohlers Sr. Bucky was a US Army veteran. After serving his country he worked for Conewango Township for 32 years and also worked for Whitmire Block for several years afterward. He was co-owner of PVI bar and restaurant for 35 years.

In his younger years, Bucky enjoyed playing softball and coached the PVI women’s team for many years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan no matter the sport. Whether it was the Steelers, Penguins or Pirates, he was always watching. Bucky was a member of the Warren American Legion Post 135 and also a former Mason.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Wohlers and her wife Piper Vanord and their children Ash, Phoenix and Lily. His special furry family members Dugan, Olly, and his furry shadow Buddy; as well as his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Wohlers , and his furry companion Sammy Pants; and 6 sisters and 2 brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later that will be announced. Memorial donations may be to Paws Along the River, 212 Elm St. Warren, PA. 16365
