Jane Allene McKown Speicher

Jane Allene McKown Speicher, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 18, 2025 in Casa Grande, AZ. She was born on Oct. 10, 1934, in Warren, PA, and grew up in Tidioute, PA, where she graduated from Tidioute High School in 1952.

On Oct. 14, 1955, Jane married, Melvin “Bud” Eugene Speicher, and together they built a life filled with family and friends and making cherished memories. She was a devoted mother to Jon and Noel and a proud grandmother to Caitlin, always finding joy in her family and the moments they shared.

Jane dedicated 19 years of service at Blair before retiring in 1997. In her well-earned retirement, she embraced the things that brought her happiness–RVing, boating, knitting beautiful socks and other handmade treasures, beading jewelry, and creating delicious meals from new recipes. Her love for animals was evident in the special place her pets held in her heart.

Jane’s kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the warmth of the socks she knitted, the jewelry she crafted, and the love she so generously shared.

At Jane’s request there will be no formal service. Instead, the family encourages donations to an animal rescue organization in her honor.
