Larry G. Haupin

Larry G. Haupin, 85, of Youngsville, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Warren General Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Warren, PA on May 8, 1939, a son to the late Melvin and Flora (Marker) Haupin. Larry worked for many years as a Firefighter and EMT for the City of Warren, having held the rank of Captain his last few years until retirement. He also had a tree farm in Lottsville where he enjoyed spending many hours, usually including his family. They made many fond memories over the years, but Larry was well known for his ground pine picking. He started making Christmas wreaths and center pieces that eventually grew into quite the business. His creations were elegant and became very popular over the years. He enjoyed creating and making things, especially helping his wife, Suzi, with her art work and projects. Larry had many jobs including his Stonehouse Matting and Framing as well as being a florist years ago where he briefly taught floral arrangement classes.

Although Larry was a very busy man he enjoyed spending time woodworking, gardening and hunting, but most of all he loved to be with his family. He attended ROY meetings and was a member of the International Association of Firefighters. Larry and all of his creative talent will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne “Suz” Haupin; his children, Debbie Haupin of AL, Don Haupin of CO and Kimberly (Keith) Robinson of FL; his step-children, Whitney (Bob) Lloyd of OH and Tage (Ginger) Rosendahl of PA; his brother, David Haupin of IL; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews as well as his beloved dog, Maggie # 2
