Charles S. Brandt III

Charles S. Brandt III
Charles Shannon Brandt III, 82, of Tidioute, Pa. passed away on March 30, 2025. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on Aug. 28, 1942 to the late Charles and Marion (Delavern)Brandt. Charlie lived a life filled with love, kindness, sarcasm, humor and wit.
Charlie enjoyed nature and living in the Allegheny Mountains. He was extremely social and was delighted to spend time with family and friends for any occasion. He could be found on his porch or anywhere that there was music tapping his foot and singing alongÃ-whether he knew the words or not. If there was a job to be done, you could count on Charlie to show up with his “Foreman’s hat” to sit and direct everyone on what to do. Dad retired from American Sterilizer after 35 years of service.
In his youth, he was active playing football, swimming and softball. He was a lifeguard to which he used to his advantage as he loved women. He was a life-long Raiders fan and enjoyed poking fun at any Steelers fans to get their goat.
When life dealt serious situations, he would come through with a heart of gold. He was loved by many and will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his favorite sister, Barbara(Brandt) Ciotoli and his niece Nadine(Toskin)Scia.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marylou (Neely)Brandt, his daughters Jodie Brandt, Tracey Moore (Jeff), Shannon Wyant(Bruce), Terry Brandt and his son, Charles Brandt, also, step-daughter, Tammy Crawford. He leaves behind to cherish his memory nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his lifelong friends, Wayne (Whitey) Stibor, David (Shautzy) Shaut and John Giltinan and so many others that we cannot list them all.
Charlie may have left this world, but his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
There will be a memory of life celebration held later to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta, PA. Messages of sympathy may be left at www.wimerfuneralhome.com or find us on Facebook.
