Frank J. Ulyon
Frank J. Ulyon, 99, died Friday, March 28, 2025, at Brookdale Grayson View Court where he resided in Selinsgrove.
Born Aug. 13, 1925, in Elk County, PA, he was the son of Louis and Francis (Poklar) Ulyon.
Frank graduated from Sheffield High School in 1944. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball during his high school years. After graduation, he served in the Army for two years. He received two battle stars for his involvement in Germany during World War II. After his service, he attended Penn State University where he received a degree in business. Frank worked for the PA Department of Forest & Water as the Assistant Controller until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling and loved playing the accordion.
Frank was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Ulyon and Tom Ulyon; and five sisters, Frances Kaluza, Amelia Rote, Ann Turk, Dorothy Korbar and Nellie Sluga.
Family and friends will be received in the Gathering Space at St. Callistus Catholic Church on Saturday, April 5, from 10 to 11 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am with the Rev. William O’Briens, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery.
