Michael R. Dale

Mike was born Dec. 4, 1955 in Paris, France, to the late Robert and Charlotte (Downing) Dale. He served in the US Air Force, and worked at the State Hospital and the Rouse Home in the nursing Dept for a number of years, he also taught at MMI in Arizona and was a member of the Labor Club in Corry. Many will fondly remember Mike as Santa Claus, a role that he played for many years, bringing joy to so many children with his motto being “real belly, real beard, real Santa.” Mike’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, ShaShawn (Bobo) Maze of Youngsville, Robert Dale; and his companion, Mindy Albaugh, of Youngsville, Nicholas (Katie) Dale of Corry, Bradley (Kasi) Dale of Georgia, Megan Dale and her fiancee, Cody Summerville, of Corry, his wife, Debra (Jones) Dale of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Dalton, Kearston, Luella, Owen, Karliah, Chloe, Kaius, and great grandchildren, Declan, and Daisy Mae.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kristy Mrofchinski.

Friends are invited on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 11-1 pm at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Youngsville. At 1 pm, members of the Youngsville American Legion Honor Guard will provide Military Honors with a luncheon following at Youngsville Fire Department.
