Schooling options

Dear Editor,

The Warren County School District has failed to maintain a structured learning environment, which is not a new issue. I was a Youngsville student 14 years ago. Every year I attended, they changed the setup of the Middle/High School. I left in 10th grade and graduated from PA Cyber Charter School. I went on to graduate from college with honors, and I now substitute teach while finishing my second degree.

The Warren County Christian School offers K-12 education to our community. I encourage parents in the county to explore what the private school offers and to inquire about the financial aid available. I was fortunate enough to switch my children there last year when the “closure talk” started up.

If I can offer any advice to other parents, it’s to look into your options now. Do what is best for your child while you still have the opportunity to guide their education.

Lacking balance

Dear Editor,

In our current society equal justice under the law, for certain individuals. is a misnomer. Convicted felon Donald J. Trump got a slap on the wrist for his conviction with the hush money case against a female victim.

The Times Observer publishes the names of individuals who are charged with DUI, retail theft, etc. Some are judged convicted felons. Invariably their punishment consists of scheduled meetings with a probation officer, home confinement, loss of a drivers license, community service, a financial liability and a host of other restrictions; plus a loss of gun ownership. In certain cases, jail time.

Why is Trump any different than the average convicted felon?

I’ll answer that question: a corrupt judicial system. One for the rich and one for the less fortunate!

Further, it’s difficult to have sympathy for felon Trump when he continues to claim that our legal system was only interested in “damaging my reputation.” Trump damaged his own reputation by not being a lawful citizen.

Lawful citizens do not fear a “despicable charade” for their behavior as the 78-year-old felon asserts. Trump, a jury of your peers found you guilty for your misdeeds. Be a man, Trump, and quit your damn childish whining.

Eventually, Trump will face a judge who may or may not accept his denials and lies for his behavior.Good luck Trump … for eternity.

Where is justice?

Dear Editor,

What is in the mind of a man who can pardon the death penalty for dozens of offenders of hideous crimes while allowing death by genocide of thousands of helpless citizens of Gaza and destruction of hospitals, and refuges in their country? (with gifts of U.S. weapons)
