Trump deals strongly with Houthi militants

Dear Editor,

Recently, the Houthi terrorists of Yemen were decisively attacked by our military as a warning to stop attacking and disrupting shipping in the Red Sea and Suez Canal.

Somehow, attack plans were leaked to Trump-hating Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of the Atlantic magazine. Of course, the attack was a success and no classified information was leaked. Left-wing distortions are expected. Still, the leak shouldn’t have happened. National Security Administrator Mike Waltz has accepted responsibility. As this is written, the cause is not clear.

To some, it’s conceivable that a high-tech Trump opponent may have hacked the communique.

Trump’s critics voiced concerns about national security. That’s fair. But where were they when Joe Biden allowed some 12 million migrants to flood our border? Biden even called the illegals “newcomers.”

Biden was an accessory to the Houthis terrorism. As he assumed office, he removed them from the Terror Watch list, which emboldened them. Then he “unfroze” Iranian assets. This allowed Iran money to fund their Houthi proxy.Iran also had more money to fund their nuclear weapon program!

The Houthis operated out of Yemen, near the entrance to the Red Sea. At the north end of that sea is the Suez Canal which leads to the Mediterranean Sea. The canal allows ships from India and the far East to reach Europe without taking the long way around South Africa.Houthi terror forced much transport to the ‘long way’.

Consider a container ship traveling from Mumbai, India(also known as Bombay) to London.Using the Suez Canal, the distance is 7,200 miles. The ‘long way’ is 12,300 miles. At 23 miles per hour, non-stop,the ‘long way’ takes 9 more days. This means extra cost for fuel, food, pay for the crew and maintenance. The cost will be passed on to consumers when the goods go to market, driving up inflation. When unimpeded, the Suez Canal has handled 20,000 ships a year.

The Trump administration deserves worldwide gratitude for countering maritime terrorism and the aforementioned inflation.

Also deserved is huge credit for securing the border and deporting illegal migrants, especially those who commited violent crimes, the latter to prisons.

The American Civil Liberties Union and certain federal judges continue to fight deportations and appear indifferent to the grief done to American citizens by foreign criminals, especially gangs.Maybe they long for the Biden days and the disgracefully porous border.

It’s conveniently forgotten that Obama deported about 3.5 million in his Presidency.

It’s far easier to falsely label Trump an authoritarian dictator than to defend the abysmal record of Biden, Kamala Harris and Alejandro Mayorkis. America First,
